Research Interests

Dr. Dasari is currently working with mesoscale weather forecast models and Regional Climate Models to understand the atmospheric/climate variability over Arabian Peninsula. An advanced assimilative Weather Research Forecasting (WRF) model is used to generate a high-resolution Red Sea regional reanalysis for the period 1980-2018 is currently being used in many projects, including the assessment of atmospheric and wave trends in the Red Sea, studying the weather extreme events in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, for air-quality dispersion modeling studies, developing maps for potential wind and solar energy harvesting in the region, force Red Sea ocean models, studying extreme waves along King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) coast, analyzing weather variability in the NEOM and Alwajeh regions, etc.
