Research Interests

​Yixin is broadly interested in the interaction between physical oceanography and marine ecology. In her PhD, she will use a coupled physical-biological model to simulate the evolution of the Red Sea ecosystem and explore the physical mechanisms that drive it. Yixin is currently investigating Red Sea coral connectivity using a particle-tracking model.
